A 64-year-old motorcyclist has died following a collision with an SUV in Hamilton on Thursday evening.
Ontario Provincial Police said emergency crews were called to the crash at the intersection of Highway 6 and Book Road East shortly after 6 p.m. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital but later died from his injuries.
The collision prompted the closure of Highway 6 in both directions between Highway 403 and Airport Road West, as well as Book Road East between Fiddlers Green Road and Southcote Road, while investigators examined the scene.
