A 62-year-old man has been charged following an alleged hit-and-run that injured three pedestrians near the Woodbine Casino area late Friday night.
Toronto police responded to reports of a collision involving pedestrians at approximately 10:46 p.m. Investigators allege the driver struck three individuals before leaving the scene.
A 26-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries and was taken to hospital. The conditions of the other two pedestrians have not been disclosed.
Police later located and arrested the suspect away from the scene. He faces multiple charges, including dangerous operation causing bodily harm, leaving the scene of a collision causing bodily harm, two counts of failing to remain and render assistance, impaired operation, and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
The investigation remains ongoing.
