A cyclist suffered critical injuries following a collision with a vehicle in Brampton during the early hours of Saturday.
Peel Regional Police responded to the crash shortly after 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Chinguacousy Road and Daviselm Drive. The cyclist was transported to a local trauma centre for emergency treatment.
The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Southbound lanes of Chinguacousy Road between Flowertown Avenue and Burt Drive were temporarily closed while officers investigated but have since reopened.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
