A fatal crash near Caledonia has led to the closure of a section of Highway 6 as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to the two-vehicle crash shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday along Highway 6 near 5th Line, just outside the Caledonia area. A 17-year-old Caledonia resident died at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a trauma centre for treatment.

As the investigation continues, Highway 6 remains closed between 4th Line and 5th Line. Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area to come forward and assist investigators.
