An 81-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle collision in Mono that occurred on May 20. Emergency crews responded to the crash on 3rd Line EHS, south of 5th Sideroad, during the afternoon.
Police reported that the man was driving a passenger van towing a small utility trailer when the incident took place. He sustained critical injuries and was first taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to a trauma centre in the Toronto area.
The driver later succumbed to his injuries on May 22. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation by Dufferin OPP.
