Charges are expected following a collision between a vehicle and a cyclist in Kitchener on Sunday evening.
Waterloo Regional Police say the crash occurred around 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of Victoria Street North and Bruce Street when a Honda struck a bicycle. The cyclist, a 56-year-old Kitchener woman, was taken to hospital with injuries.
The driver, a 66-year-old woman from Wellington County, was not injured in the incident.
The collision prompted a temporary road closure in the area for several hours while investigators examined the scene. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash and have indicated that charges are anticipated.
