Five fire departments responded to a large barn fire in southern Greater Napanee on Monday evening, according to town officials.
Firefighters were called to South Shore Road around 7 p.m., where a massive barn measuring roughly 250 metres in length was fully destroyed by the blaze. Crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby barn.
Officials confirmed that no people or animals were injured. Damage from the fire is estimated at approximately $5 million.
