Two people suffered serious injuries following a multi-vehicle collision on the Queen Elizabeth Way in Etobicoke.

The crash occurred in the Toronto-bound lanes near Dixie Road around 7 p.m. Tuesday. Toronto paramedics said nine people were assessed at the scene, with three individuals transported to hospital.

Two men sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while a third person was treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the collision has not been determined. Several lanes on the highway remained closed following the crash as emergency crews responded and investigators examined the scene.
