A 35-year-old Norfolk County resident has died following a dirt bike crash in Silver Hill.
Emergency crews responded to Forestry Farm Road at approximately 10:55 p.m. Monday after reports of a collision. Police say the dirt bike was travelling along the roadway when it left the road and struck a road sign.
The rider was airlifted to a trauma centre in critical condition but later died from their injuries.
The section of Forestry Farm Road between 10th Concession Road and Silver Hill Sideroad was closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene and has since reopened.
Norfolk County OPP continue to investigate and are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash camera footage or other relevant information to contact police.
