One person was hospitalized after a shed structure collapsed in a residential driveway in Scarborough on Tuesday evening.
Toronto Fire Services responded to Marchington Circle, near Victoria Park Avenue and Ellesmere Road, at approximately 5:30 p.m. following reports that two people had been trapped beneath large metal shed panels.
Officials said one individual was able to free themselves before emergency crews arrived. The second person remained pinned under the debris and required assistance from firefighters.
Crews stabilized the collapsed panels and surrounding equipment before safely rescuing the trapped individual and transferring them to paramedics. The person was then transported to hospital, although their condition has not been disclosed.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collapse.
