A man is in critical condition after a two-vehicle collision in Brampton shortly after midnight on Friday.
Peel Regional Police responded to the crash near Castlemore Road and McVean Drive just after 12 a.m. Preliminary findings suggest one of the vehicles may have entered the intersection against a red light, resulting in a collision with another vehicle.
A man in his 60s, who was travelling in the impacted vehicle, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital. A female passenger, believed to be in her 50s or 60s, sustained serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash, and no charges have been announced at this time.
