Three women were seriously injured in a collision in Barrie on Saturday, prompting a lengthy road closure and emergency response.
The crash occurred around 11 a.m. near the intersection of Dunlop Street West and Highway 27. Paramedics transported all three injured women to hospital for treatment.
Air ambulance service Ornge was dispatched to the scene, but the patients were ultimately taken to hospital by ground ambulance.
Police closed the intersection and surrounding area for several hours while investigators examined the scene and gathered evidence.
Traffic restrictions were lifted shortly after 3 p.m., and the intersection has since reopened.
