A 47-year-old Windsor man is facing multiple charges following a two-vehicle collision in Kingsville that left another driver with life-threatening injuries.

Essex County OPP responded to the crash at the intersection of County Road 20 and McCain Side Road shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday. Police reported that a 65-year-old Windsor man sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.

Following the investigation, the other driver was arrested and charged with impaired operation with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit, dangerous operation causing bodily harm, operation causing bodily harm, and starting from a stopped position when it was unsafe to do so.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on July 28, 2026. In addition to the charges, police imposed a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment under provincial regulations.
