A garbage truck fire caused heavy smoke and traffic disruptions along Highway 11 in Kilworthy early Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the scene shortly after 3 a.m. after reports of a truck engulfed in flames. The fire led to the closure of one southbound lane between Kilworthy Road and Rainbow Circle while emergency crews worked to extinguish the blaze.
No injuries were reported, and all lanes reopened by approximately 7:50 a.m. Authorities have not determined the cause of the fire, and the investigation is continuing.
