Four people were hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries following a single-vehicle crash in North York early Thursday morning.

Emergency crews responded to Finch Avenue West near Milady Road shortly before 1 a.m. after a vehicle left the roadway and crashed. Those injured included a 15-year-old girl, two women aged 72 and 54, and the 57-year-old driver.

Police say the driver held a G1 licence and has been charged for violating licence restrictions, which prohibit driving between midnight and 5 a.m. Investigators believe speed may have contributed to the collision, though the cause remains under investigation.

The crash also affected TTC Line 6 Finch West service, prompting a temporary suspension between Albion and Duncanwoods stations while police examined the scene. Shuttle buses were deployed to serve passengers in the impacted area.
