A 61-year-old employee of the Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care has died after being struck by a vehicle on the facility’s property in Penetanguishene.
Emergency crews, including firefighters, paramedics, and Ontario Provincial Police, responded to the incident on Church Street at approximately 10 a.m. Thursday. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed the collision occurred on the grounds of the Waypoint Centre and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. No charges have been laid.
