A driver was injured after a vehicle struck a fire hydrant and rolled over in downtown Kitchener late Tuesday night.
Waterloo Regional Police responded to the crash on Victoria Street South near Oak Street at approximately 11:25 p.m. Investigators say the vehicle left the roadway, hit a fire hydrant, and knocked it from its concrete base before overturning onto its side.
The male driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not released details about what caused the collision or whether any charges are being considered.
