A Peel Regional Police officer was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a collision involving a police cruiser and an SUV in Brampton on Sunday evening.
The crash occurred around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Hurontario Street and Bovaird Drive West. Paramedics confirmed the injured officer was transported to hospital, while no other injuries were reported.
Police said the driver of the SUV remained at the scene as investigators examined the collision.
The incident prompted road closures, with westbound Bovaird Drive closed at Sunforest Drive and southbound Hurontario Street closed at Bovaird Drive.
