An 81-year-old Mississauga man has died following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 427 in Etobicoke on Thursday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police said the collision occurred around 2:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes at Finch Avenue after a vehicle struck a guardrail. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other occupants of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospital.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Northbound Highway 427 at Finch Avenue remained closed until 10 p.m. as police investigated the crash and crews completed cleanup operations. Southbound traffic is unaffected.
