A driver has been charged with careless driving after nearly hitting a firefighter and crashing into a police cruiser during an active collision investigation in Brampton.
The incident occurred on June 27 at the intersection of Kennedy Road and Sandalwood Parkway, where emergency crews had closed the roadway. Police-released video shows a blue Ford F-150 entering the restricted area, narrowly missing a firefighter before striking a parked cruiser.
No injuries were reported, and the driver remained at the scene. Peel police said the driver was not impaired and there is no indication the actions were intentional, but described the incident as dangerous and unacceptable.
