Ontario Provincial Police have laid charges against both drivers following a two-vehicle collision involving a school bus on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte on Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. between Line 2 and Line 3, forcing the closure of Highway 11 in both directions for several hours as crews cleared debris and repaired damaged guardrails.
The school bus was carrying children and adults travelling to a summer camp. Emergency responders treated several people for minor injuries, with no serious injuries reported.
Following the investigation, police charged both drivers and reminded motorists to maintain safe following distances and remain alert while driving, particularly in rural areas.
