Toronto police are searching for a driver accused of striking a parking enforcement officer and another vehicle after receiving a parking ticket Monday afternoon.
Police said the incident occurred around 2:25 p.m. near Queens Quay East and Richardson Street. A parking enforcement officer had issued a ticket to a white 2017 Mercedes-Benz C63S convertible when the driver returned and became involved in a dispute with the officer.
Investigators allege the driver then entered the vehicle, drove away, and struck the officer as well as another vehicle before fleeing westbound on Queens Quay East. The officer suffered minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a man with a medium build and shoulder-length braided hair. Police said he was wearing a black hat, white T-shirt, black shorts, and white shoes at the time of the incident.
