Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Vaughan on Tuesday night, leaving both with serious injuries.
York Regional Police responded to the collision at Rutherford Road and Velmar Drive shortly after 7:20 p.m. A male pedestrian and a female pedestrian were taken to hospital, with one suffering life-threatening injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Westbound lanes of Rutherford Road have been closed for several hours as police continue their investigation.
