Major service disruptions are affecting the Lakeshore West GO line after a person was fatally struck by a train near Clarkson GO Station in Mississauga on Wednesday evening.
Peel police said the incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. near Lorne Park Road and Birchview Drive. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
GO Transit reported that only one of the three tracks remains open while police investigate, resulting in significant delays for eastbound trains.
Regular service resumed later in the evening, with Metrolinx restoring the schedule at approximately 9:40 p.m.
