Ideal Supply has been fined $70,000 after pleading guilty to violating Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act following a workplace injury at its Listowel distribution centre.
The incident occurred on May 10, 2025, when an employee fell approximately four feet from a ladder while retrieving parts from elevated shelving, sustaining injuries.
A Ministry of Labour investigation found the company failed to provide adequate training, instruction, and supervision on the safe use of ladders. The guilty plea resulted in a $70,000 fine for the workplace safety violation.
