A backyard shed fire in Ottawa’s Greenboro neighbourhood spread to nearby fences, trees, and outdoor items Sunday evening before firefighters quickly brought it under control.
Ottawa Fire Services responded to a home on Fireside Crescent around 8:35 p.m. after multiple 911 calls reported flames and smoke. Crews contained the blaze within minutes, with the fire declared under control at approximately 8:40 p.m.
Officials said heat from the fire caused two windows of a neighbouring home to break, while nearby trees, fences, and patio furniture were damaged. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and no fire investigator was sent to the scene.
