A 91-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a multi-vehicle collision in Scarborough on Monday afternoon.
The crash happened shortly before 4 p.m. near Lawrence Avenue East and Charlottetown Boulevard. Police say the woman experienced a medical emergency while driving a Toyota Corolla, causing her to run a red light, collide with a Toyota RAV4 driven by a 38-year-old woman, and then crash into a nearby high school building.
The 38-year-old driver sustained minor injuries and was also transported to hospital. Police continue to investigate the incident.
