A 21-year-old man from Clarence-Rockland has died following a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 401 near Cornwall early Sunday morning, Ontario Provincial Police say.
Emergency crews responded around 3:30 a.m. to reports of a vehicle that had rolled into the highway’s centre median between Boundary Road and County Road 27. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. The crash forced the temporary closure of Highway 401 in both directions, but the roadway has since reopened.
