Three people have died following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17 west of Marathon, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
The crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. on July 15 near Prairie River. A 58-year-old man from Marathon was pronounced dead at hospital the day of the collision.
Police said an 80-year-old woman from Terrace Bay, who was a passenger in the second vehicle, died from her injuries on July 16. The vehicle’s driver, a 79-year-old man from Terrace Bay, later succumbed to his injuries on July 20.
The OPP continues to investigate and is asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the crash to contact investigators.
