A two-vehicle crash on Tecumseh Road East in Windsor sent one person to hospital Tuesday afternoon and temporarily closed part of the roadway.
Windsor police responded to the collision shortly before 3 p.m., shutting down the eastbound lanes between Lincoln Road and Windermere Road while emergency crews worked at the scene.
Images from the crash site showed both vehicles with extensive damage, including a Ford Escape that had overturned onto its side. First responders used specialized equipment to remove part of the vehicle’s roof and safely extract the driver.
Police have not released further details about the person’s injuries or what led to the collision. The eastbound lanes have since reopened.
