Ontario Provincial Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal single-vehicle rollover in Haldimand County on Thursday evening.
The crash occurred around 7 p.m. on Haldimand Road 53, south of Hagersville, when a vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch and rolled over. One occupant was pronounced dead at the scene, while a second person was taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to a Hamilton hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators are specifically seeking the driver of a red vehicle that was travelling southbound on Haldimand Road 53 and may have witnessed the collision.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP.
