A cyclist suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries following a collision with a vehicle in Woolwich on Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the crash near Katherine Street and Letson Drive at approximately 4:10 p.m. Waterloo Regional Police said the injured cyclist, a 44-year-old Toronto man, was transported to hospital for treatment, while the driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

Katherine Street was closed for several hours as investigators examined the scene. The Traffic Services Unit continues to investigate the collision, and police say charges are expected.
