A 16-year-old girl from Cornwall died in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in South Stormont, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
Emergency crews responded to the collision near Headline Road and County Road 19 at approximately 3:40 a.m. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene, while two other occupants sustained serious injuries.
The injured individuals were initially taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to an Ottawa-area trauma centre for further treatment.
Police have released no additional information to protect the privacy of the families involved. Headline Road was closed between County Road 19 and County Road 42 for several hours during the investigation before reopening Sunday afternoon.
