A man suffered serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash in Toronto’s west end early Monday that knocked down a utility pole and disrupted traffic signals.
Toronto police say emergency crews responded just after 5:10 a.m. to the area of Jane Street and St. Clair Avenue West, where a vehicle had collided with a pole. The impact brought the pole down, causing traffic lights at the intersection to stop working.
The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a trauma response.
Jane Street remains closed between Dundas Street West and St. Clair Avenue West as police continue to investigate. Investigators are also asking anyone with information about the crash to contact Toronto police.
