Three people are facing drug trafficking charges after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 69 prompted an Ontario Provincial Police investigation earlier this month.

The collision occurred on July 23 and did not result in any injuries. However, officers reported discovering suspected opioid drugs inside the vehicle during their investigation.

A 17-year-old female from Pickering, a 27-year-old man from Oshawa, and a 25-year-old man from Barrie have each been charged with drug trafficking. The two male suspects also face additional charges for allegedly breaching the conditions of their release orders.
