A fire at a home under construction in London caused an estimated $200,000 in damage Friday morning.

London Fire Department crews responded to the 700 block of Franklinway Crescent shortly after 8 a.m. after receiving reports of a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the second floor of the residence.

The blaze was quickly brought under control before crews carried out ventilation and completed thorough searches of the home. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, with fire officials continuing to examine the scene.

Wonderland Road, which was temporarily closed during the emergency response, has since reopened to traffic.
