A 24-year-old London driver sustained life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 402 near Strathroy early Sunday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police said the collision occurred shortly before 7 a.m. between Hickory Drive and Centre Road when a sedan struck a guardrail and left the roadway.
The driver was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. Eastbound lanes of Highway 402 between Centre Road and Hickory Drive remained closed for several hours as investigators examined the scene.
Middlesex OPP is continuing to investigate and is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash camera footage to come forward.
