Emergency crews carried out a technical rescue at Meadowlily Heritage Forest Trail on Wednesday evening after a person was injured in a fall down a steep embankment.
The London Fire Department said the individual sustained a head injury, prompting its Technical Rescue Team to deploy specialized equipment to safely extract the patient and return them to the trail. Paramedics then took over medical care.
Following the incident, fire officials are encouraging residents to exercise extra caution when visiting trails with steep or uneven terrain.
