A 52-year-old motorcyclist has died following a head-on collision with a passenger vehicle in Muskoka Lakes on Saturday evening.
Ontario Provincial Police said the crash happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Muskoka Road 169 near East Black Lake Road. The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 22-year-old driver of the passenger vehicle was not injured. Police said he has been charged with dangerous operation causing death.
Muskoka Road 169 was closed for several hours between Southwood Road, Torrance Road and Walkers Point Road while investigators examined the scene and crews cleared the area. The roadway has since reopened.
