A 45-year-old Barrie woman is facing multiple charges after police say she fled the scene of a collision that injured an e-bike rider.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. Thursday near Anne Street North and Dunlop Street. Police say surveillance footage shows a passenger vehicle running a red light before striking a 38-year-old man riding an e-bike.
The driver allegedly left the scene and continued north on Anne Street. The cyclist suffered minor injuries.
About 30 minutes later, officers located a damaged passenger vehicle in a Bayfield Street parking lot. Police say the damage was consistent with the earlier collision and arrested the woman found inside on suspicion of impaired driving.
She was taken to police headquarters, where testing allegedly showed her blood-alcohol level was nearly four times the legal limit.
The Barrie woman faces charges of impaired operation, failing to stop after an accident, failing to report an accident and driving a motor vehicle without a validated permit.
