Six railcars carrying non-dangerous goods briefly left the tracks in Cambridge on Sunday afternoon, with no injuries reported.

Canadian Pacific Kansas City said the minor derailment occurred around noon near Eagle Street and King Street in Preston, across from Riverside Park. The affected cars remained upright, although some of their wheels came off the rails.

CPKC classified the incident as a low-speed derailment. Crews re-railed the six cars and removed them from the area Sunday evening.

No hazardous materials were involved, and there were no reports of injuries. The rail line was reopened to traffic by Monday.

The cause of the derailment has not been released.
