Firefighters remain on scene in southeast Scarborough after battling a three-alarm house fire Tuesday afternoon.

The blaze broke out at a two-storey residence on Broadbridge Drive in the West Rouge area, east of Port Union and north of Lawrence Avenue East. Toronto fire and police crews were called to the home shortly after 3:15 p.m. and were met with intense flames and heavy smoke.

The main fire has since been brought under control, but firefighters are continuing operations after the blaze spread into the attic. Smoke was seen rising from the roof as crews worked to fully extinguish the remaining fire.

No injuries have been reported.
