A 35-year-old Guelph resident is facing impaired and dangerous driving charges after a vehicle left the roadway and struck a hydro pole in Norwich Township.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. on Aug. 7 along Base Line. According to Ontario Provincial Police, the vehicle veered off the road before hitting the pole, causing significant damage.
The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The Guelph resident was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 or more, and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
