A man was safely rescued Tuesday night after becoming trapped in a trench in Markham.
York Regional Police and emergency crews responded around 8 p.m. Aug. 11 to an area near Warden Avenue and Highway 7 following reports that a man was stuck in the trench.
Firefighters, paramedics and police were involved in the rescue operation. The man was successfully removed from the trench shortly after 9 p.m.
Police said he was not injured in the incident.
