A driver was seriously injured early Saturday after their vehicle left Highway 7 and collided with a tree near Perth.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to the single-vehicle crash near Drummond Concession 9A shortly before 2:20 a.m. Police say the vehicle’s only occupant was thrown from the vehicle during the collision and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
Highway 7 was closed in both directions between Drummond Concession 9A and Gardiner Road while officers examined the scene. The roadway reopened shortly after noon.
