GO Transit service has resumed on the Milton Line following a fatal incident involving a person who was struck by a train in Etobicoke early Monday morning.

Toronto police said officers were called to the area of Kipling Avenue and Dundas Street West around 4:15 a.m. after reports that a person had been hit by a train. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident occurred near Kipling GO station, prompting a temporary halt to train service while emergency crews investigated. GO Transit warned commuters of significant delays and cancellations before service resumed shortly after 7 a.m.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
