A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a car in Scarborough on Wednesday night.
Emergency crews responded to the crash around 9:30 p.m at Sheppard Avenue East and Grand River Boulevard. The motorcyclist was travelling southeast on Sheppard Avenue East when a 24-year-old man driving a 2012 BMW sedan turned left onto Grand River Boulevard. The two vehicles collided during the turn.
The motorcyclist, an adult male, was taken to hospital with critical injuries but later died.
The driver of the BMW stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
