Police are asking the public for help identifying a man involved in an alleged assault following a two-vehicle crash in Barrie.
The incident happened Wednesday on Duckworth Street near Highway 400. Investigators say a driver got out of his vehicle after the collision and attacked the 86-year-old man driving the other vehicle. The suspect then left the area.
The senior sustained injuries and was treated by emergency personnel at the scene.
Investigators describe the suspect as a white man in his 40s with a medium build and brown hair. At the time, he was reportedly dressed in a black T-shirt, black pants, a red-and-grey hat and black-and-white Converse footwear.
The man is believed to have been driving a gold Dodge Journey.
Police are encouraging anyone who witnessed or captured the incident on a dashcam to come forward with information.
