Emergency crews battled a large fire at a residential complex in Barrie on Friday morning.
The fire broke out around 7:30 a.m. in the area of Blake and Johnson streets, prompting Barrie Fire to send five tanker trucks to the scene as crews worked to contain the heavy flames.
Firefighters had the blaze under control by about 9 a.m. No residents were inside the home when the fire started, and no injuries have been reported.
Barrie police closed off the surrounding area while emergency crews responded.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified as the investigation continues.
