Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating a serious collision involving an OPP cruiser and another vehicle north of London.
Emergency crews were called to Nairn Road and Centre Road in North Middlesex at around 3:30 p.m. on August 23.
Ontario Provincial Police said the crash involved one of its vehicles. An OPP officer and the driver of the other vehicle were both taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The SIU has invoked its mandate and is now investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Nairn Road and Centre Road were closed for several hours while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene.
